Please note, this website is very much a work in progress, to be improved upon and this page only exists to illustrate an example of my recent work, for the purposes of a loan application to further my small business endeavour, consisting of the creation of wildlife linoprints, as well as, hoping to later create derivative items based on my art, including cards and scarves. A related project, I also hope to monetize, is to share my lifestyle, to encourage others to live a wild, calm, creative life, in harmony with nature and others.
"It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living."
-David Attenborough
I occasionally sketch plein air as well as, more often than not taking photographs to use as references or very occasionally use a stock image, if I cannot obtain a clear enough photo of the wildlife subject myself.
Some recent photos I took of red shanks, Baldoyle Estuary and grey heron, Howth middle pier, a herring gull in flight and a scientific sketch of a herring gull below, to understand it's structure.

Art by Van Gogh I am studying, including how he conveys movement and uses dashes of colour, in trying to develop my own style, albeit the totally different medium of linoprint.

Still falling, short of what I aim to achieve but making progress, the image to the left being the latest iteration of a herring gull and lucky that friends have supported my attempts to date with purchases to help me get this small business endeavour off the ground, as I work hard to improve my offerings.

Thank you for looking at my website and considering my application, to expand my small business endeavour.
